SLIDESHOW

PhotoPeach is a simple, easy to use, web-based tool that lets you create basic slideshows. It allows you to upload photos from Facebook, Picasa, or directly from your computer. The free version of PhotoPeach limits your slideshow to 30 photos and a small selection of background music or YouTube song search of your liking. Upgrading to the Premium version ($3/month) allows you to upload more photos and customize the transitions between them, upload your own music to accompany the slideshow, and burn your slideshows to disc.

PhotoPeach is a great creation tool that allows users to express themselves by taking their original pieces and adding them to (or mixing) them with existing media to make an entirely new presentation or story. However, it's still important to be aware of Copyright laws. Flicker is a handy site that allows you to search for Copyright friendly images that you could incorporate into your slideshow. It gives you the option to search for images with "Creative Commons only" along with a link to the license each photo has.

PhotoPeach and Flicker are tools that one could incorporate into their PLE: both creative and collaborative tools! I used the free version to create a basic slideshow to explain the importance of Copyright laws, as well as the difference between a work that has a Copyright license and a work with a Creative Commons license. I've added additional slides at the end to give image owners proper credit for their work as well. Check it out!
